The Author of What a Carve Up Jonathan Coe

Jonathan Coe is the author of What a Carve Up and is an english novelist and a writer. He was born in 1961 on 19th of August and is currently 52 years of age. He began writing at an early of 8 and sent a full length novel he had written to a publisher at the age of 15. He was later unhappy with the book after re reading it and burned it in a a bonfire.
He later studied in Trinity College in Cambridge and wrote a variety of short stories and other novels.

A lot of his work focuses on political issues and despite focusing on this serious topic is occasionally is portrayed and emphasised in a funny and comical kind of way.

What a Carve Up is based on an actual film in the 1960's which was a spoof horror with the exact name. The book was set in the 1980's and focuses on political concerns of Britain around the time it was set.

What a Carve up was Jonathan Coe's fourth novel he published in 1994. His first novel was called The Accidental Woman which he then went onto publishing in 1987. Jonathan has continued to write novels and has written biographies, manuscripts and other things as well.
