The Outsiders (Book Synopsis)

I then went onto looking for a basic synopsis for The Outsiders so i could get a better overview of the book and what its generally based around.

Synopsis:

"According to Ponyboy, there are two kinds of people in the world: greasers and socs. A soc (short for "social") has money, can get away with just about anything, and has an attitude longer than a limousine. A greaser, on the other hand, always lives on the outside and needs to watch his back. Ponyboy is a greaser, and he's always been proud of it, even willing to rumble against a gang of socs for the sake of his fellow greasers--until one terrible night when his friend Johnny kills a soc. The murder gets under Ponyboy's skin, causing his world to crumble and teaching him that pain feels the same whether a soc or a greaser."

Looking on the web for a synopsis for this book helps me understand the overview of the book and get a grasp and concept of what the book is about and the themes etc that are contained within the story. Now looking at this synopsis suggests its a typical gang crime type of book with rebellion in it and different types of groups that fight a lot, leading to some dangerous and bad consequences with people murdered along the way. The story for me seems alright and it does look like a good book so i'll consider thinking about this book more.
