More Steampunk!

After doing research on the steampunk style i  began to really admire the style and the overall theme and wanted to look into more examples of steampunk art and the style, because i might consider using the style to make my poster.

This image above uses a very old texture with a brown/orange tint to add to the old fashioned theme of the era of steampunk. It also uses gears around 'Steam Punk' to emphasises the mechanical feel to the advert. The typography is bold and dark brown in order to stand out and make it eye catching. The type is Serif to make it more formal and sophisticated and also to fit the Victorian posh and well mannered feel. The use of the characters which are defined help to give an overview of the type of people that are related to this steampunk theme. The colours of the characters help to stand out from the rest of the advert in order to make it stnad out more.

In this advert this is a little bit more visually busy with a lot of things going on with it with the design, layout, images, type etc but overall looks beautiful and works really well. First off the colour's mainly contain grays, golds, oranges and browns which all relate to the steampunk style. This advert also uses a border which seems to be gears placed all next to one another in a border. This makes it look elegant and tidy with the sense of technology added to it which fits really well with the overall theme. Next let's focus on the images, well the main image is the male placed in the centre, top part of the advert with smart clothing and googles emphasising the steampunk fashion sense. The image along with the others are tinted to fit in with the rest of the advert. The other images are two steam bots and a blimp airship. Both of these fit in within the era and the industrial theme within the Victorian period along with the steampunk era.
