Barcelona Day Five (17th of May - Saturday)

After the second day of OFFF came the third day, and i was very excited for this day to come as i had looked at the schedule of a couple of people on the OFFF app before and noticed some illustrators i knew and wanted to see and i couldn't wait to get to the conference on the day.

Lotta Nieminen

I first saw a woman called Lotta Nieminen and she is an illustrator and i really admired her work as she does landscaping illustrations and i overall was really engaged within her presentation and loved her pieces of work she showed, and below is some examples of her work. Her style is very minimalistic and flat based design which is what drew me in her work and the overall visual style of her work.

Hugo & Marie / Erik Spiekermann

After seeing Lotta i then got to see Hugo & Marie and they specialise in art management and are dedicated to design, illustration and interactive services and their presentation was pretty cool and interesting. After seeing those two i then got to see Erik spiekermann and he is known for his typography and he had a very funny sense of humour, swearing a lot and being overall an entertaining person when he was presenting.

Steve Simpson

Later I queued up in the open room and was able to see Steve Simpson and he was one of the most anticipated people to watch for me, as i had heard of him before and saw his work and when i found out he was going to be at this conference i was so excited and knew i had to see his presentation. He mainly does illustration for products and marketing etc and he also does some typography illustration as well. There is a ton of his work below that i got to see at the conference. His work overall was very inspiring and it was a pleasure to watch him speak about his work.

Owen Davey

After seeing Steve Simpson i then got to see another illustrator which was Owen Davey and he lives in Brighton in the UK and i was amazed by that. Owen Davey does illustration and does a lot of children book illustration like the foxily book and the laika book as well. He showed off a lot of his work which was great to see and overall he was very inspiring and i loved all of his work. Below is a bunch of his work.

After having a great time at the OFFF conference for the final day me and the rest of the group decided to head back to the hotel to relax, and then we later went to see the magic fountains which was amazing and a great experience.
